Waiting on God can seem unbearable. Especially when you have been waiting for a long time. Anxiety and frustration can definitely enter your life while waiting for God to restore your marriage. But, don’t let it. That will only make your waiting season feel much longer than necessary.

1. Trust God’s timing!

Know that God is completely aware of your situation and knows what’s best for you. His timing is perfect. When he blesses you, he knows that you are ready to handle the blessing. The worse thing you can do is mismanage a blessing because you couldn’t handle it.

2. Sometimes there is a delay because there is work God is trying to do in you.

When there is a season delay, there is always something that God is trying to get out of you, put in you, and something he is trying to do through you. Get with God. Ask him to reveal it to you and quickly surrender to this process. The faster you embrace and allow the inner work to be done, the faster you will see the manifestation of what God desires to do for you.

James 1:4-8

3. Ask God to give you the desires of your heart.

Sometimes we misinterpret this scripture by assuming that whatever it is that I desire, God will give it to me. That is not what this means. Well, I’ll give you the Arrettres Hollins interpretation.

This scripture means that God will place inside of you, what you need to be desiring. He will align your desires with his will for your life. This requires full submission and faith that he knows what is best for you. Especially if what you desire does not align with God’s plan for your life.

Here is the blessing in all of this….His will is ALWAYS better than your plan. Ephesians 3:20 says it best, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”.

Honey, you can’t even imagine what God fully has in store for you. So trust him, and the process.
